Dear Customer:
You may be aware, from media coverage or otherwise, of the potential problems the Year 2000 date change could have on date-sensitive computer programs.
The First National Bank of Pryor is fully committed to addressing the Year 2000 problem. Our goal is to ensure that our systems will handle the new century date change smoothly so you will not be inconvenienced.
We have identified relevant systems; repaired, replaced, and upgraded systems to resolve potential problems; and have began testing systems for Year 2000 compatibility. We are also working closely with our third-party service providers to monitor their readiness for Year 2000.
We plan to complete testing and have all system changes implemented by June 1999, as required by federal bank regulators. We will have alternative methods of doing business as a contingency should problems occur.
Federal bank examiners are evaluating each banks readiness for Year 2000 to confirm it is meeting the established readiness guidelines. They are also closely monitoring the Year 2000 readiness of bank data service providers.
We would also like to point out that the Year 2000 date change will not affect our customers $100,000.00 Federal Deposit Insurance Coverage on each account.
Our bank will continue to face the Year 2000 computer challenge head on in our effort to ensure "business as usual" for you in the new millennium.
